Balletto di Roma takes part in the international collaboration led by the historical Swedish dance company Culberg Ballet (artistic director Gabriel Smeets). The prestigious Stockholm dance company presents Figure a Sea, a co-production that involves 21 dancers under the artistic direction of the choreographer Deborah Hay and the musical author Laurie Anderson. Among the interpreters features the associate choreographer and Balletto di Roma teacher Paolo Mangiola, who was chosen, together with five guest artists, to dance alongside the company’s dancers. The international opening night of “Figure a Sea” took place on September 24th at the Danses Hus in Stockholm.
