Roman, born in 1983. After a competitive sports career in artistic and musical gymnastics in the Polyphonic Choir of the Popular School of Music in Testaccio, she is admitted to attend such professional training in classical and contemporary dance at the Balletto di Roma, directed by Franca Bartolomei and Walter Zappolini, where she graduated in 2004. Graduated with honors in Performing Arts and Sciences (2006) and in Theatrical, Cinematographic and Digital Performing Knowledge and Techniques (2009), in 2013 she obtained a Doctorate in Digital Technologies and Research Methodologies for the Show at the Department of Art History and Show of the University of Rome “La Sapienza” with a thesis entitled “Dance and repertoire. Tradition and transmission in contemporary choreography “. At the same Department he collaborated in the teaching activities of the History of Dance and Mime, History of Theater and Show, Theory and Pedagogy of the Actor, Theory and Techniques of the Actor of Prof. Roberto Ciancarelli. His doctoral research project – born from a close collaboration with the International Choreographic Arts Center (ICK) in Amsterdam, directed by Emio Greco and Pieter C. Scholten – investigated the mechanisms of transmission of the repertoire in contemporary choreography and was merged into a publication entitled:Inspiration Emio Greco | Pieter C. Scholten. The Multiplicity of Dance “(Artegrafica, Rome, 2015). Member of AIRDanza, Italian Association for Research on Dance and CUT, University Council of the Theater, he took part as a member of the organizing committee in conferences of international studies, including “Imagine the dance. He has also made numerous contributions online for magazines and blogs such as Exibart, Biennale Danza, Teatro e Critica, Alfabeta2, Artribune, as well as conferences and lectures in the research sector for dance and performing arts, including : Réflexions et hypothèses vers une nouvelle idée d’espace, de temps et de répertoire dans la danse contemporaine, Atelier des doctorants en danse, Cycle «Corps et danse», Le corps sur la scène et hors la scène, Université de Nice Sophia Antipolis , Nice, June 24, 2013. As a dancer, from 2007 to 2010 she worked in the Metis company directed by Gloria Pomardi, as part of the contemporary dance and stage movement project “La Sapienza … Danza”, with which she creates several shows. In July 2017 he obtained the first certification in Paris, in Rome in 2018 the second, for the teaching of the Floor-Barre® technique, of the Zena Rommett Floor-Barre Foundation (NY), which he taught at the Ballet of Rome after having created a new ‘Wellness’ section for an adult audience.
In 2016/2017 he collaborated with Balletto di Roma with a role in supporting cultural and communication processes related to the activity of the School directed by Paola Jorio, the Professional Contemporary Course and the Company, under the artistic direction of Roberto Casarotto, until the appointment of Artistic Director of the structure itself for the three-year period 2018-2020. He is the Artistic Curator of the CLASH cooperation project! When classic and contemporary dance collide and new forms emerge (2018-2021), approved and co-financed by Creative Europe (out of 84 projects co-financed for the small scale, of which 13 Italian).
For the academic year 2018 and 2019 he is a contract professor of Digital Archives and Museums for live entertainment at the Master’s Degree (LM-65) of the Department of Art and Entertainment History of La Sapienza, University of Rome.
