The auditions are aimed at girls and boys from 8 to 19 years of age. Following the selection, the students are directed by the Rome Ballet commission to dance courses corresponding to their age and preparation.
Saturday 4 May, the audition preparation stage will take place which consists of a classical dance lesson for younger students (beginners) and a classical and contemporary lesson for older students (intermediate, advanced) . On Sunday 5 May, the audition will take place as the stage of the previous day, with the little ones who will take their classic lesson and the older ones who will take a classic and a contemporary lesson.
The audition consists of a classical dance lesson for the youngest (beginners, 8 – 10 years) and a classical and contemporary lesson for the older children (intermediate and advanced, 11 – 13 years and 14 – 19 years ). The classes are held by the teachers of the Ballet School of Rome in the presence of the director Paola Jorio.
During the auditions, the commission may decide to award scholarships for the current academic year and for the winter stages of the Ballet School of Rome to particularly deserving students.
Students are divided into three groups taking into account age. These are the groups: beginners (students from 8 to 10 years), intermediate (students from 11 to 13 years), advanced (students from 14 to 19 years).
